WAM Capital LLP (WAM) was established in 2005 by Miles Davis and Will Beck, trading then as Wine Asset Managers LLP, and for the next decade was primarily involved with the establishment and management of its two fine wine funds, The Fine Wine Fund and The Fine Wine Investment Fund.

In early 2015 WAM started a second line of business in small private company equity fundraising which complemented its existing products and appealed to its investor base. WAM closed its wine investment funds at the end of 2016 and now focuses exclusively on equity fund raising for small companies. Arian Alikhani, an entrepreneur and angel investor, joined WAM in early 2018. WAM is run by Will Beck and Arian Alikhani.

WAM is currently authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK.
